Bang & Olufsen collaborating with AP&T

AP&T has received a new order from Bang & Olufsen in Denmark. One press and over 50 tools were delivered in 2011, and an additional press is on the way.

Equipment from AP&T is being used to produce aluminum speaker grills for BMW and Mercedes, amongst others.

"It is naturally extremely gratifying to cooperate with one of the world's most recognized brands. Business has developed quickly ever since we delivered the first press. In just a short amount of time, we have produced over 50 different tools for advanced forming of speaker grills for various makes of cars, and in March 2012, we are going to install another press at B&O's factory in Struer on Jylland," says Per Josefsson, Global Sales and Service Manager at AP&T.

Bang & Olufsen has a unique position in its industry. No other manufacturer of sound systems and televisions is as clearly tied to high-class design as B&O. In a matter of only two years, the company has also managed to reach the top position among car sound system brands in the premium segment.

"AP&T was the supplier best able to satisfy our demands for presses and tools. For example, accessibility is very important to us. We run short series and need to change tools five or six times a day – and it has to be done quickly and easily," says Carsten Jensen, Purchasing Manager B&O.
