Optimized four-press line
A German company needed new production equipment that was compact and cost-efficient for a reference project in the automotive industry. AP&T received the assignment, and was quickly able to supply the equipment. This type of four-press line can be installed and made operational within a couple of weeks.
The new production equipment includes several solutions that reduce both costs and installation time. All of the presses are controlled by a single control system. The four presses can also share two hydraulic systems without reducing capacity.
Complete reference components are manufactured directly from coil. The first press cuts the sheet metal. Drawing and punching follow in different steps depending on the model. Four SpeedFeeders with four axes manage supply between the presses and out of the production line. The entire press line is considerably more compact since the SpeedFeeder turns in one production step.
Thus, the system is a good example of the industry-optimizing and compact production solutions that modules from AP&T enable.
