AP&T automated for flexible production – Stand-alone presses transformed into four-press line at C&K Johansen
At deep-drawing expert C&K Johansen in the Danish town of Horsens, flexible production is key to being able to quickly provide service to customers, who come from a number of different production industries. Previously, the majority of production usually entailed manual operation of stand-alone press cells. But, when the company partnered with AP&T and set its sights on the future, many new possibilities for automated production came into view.

When the ABB industry group wanted to establish a new production plant for the manufacture of industrial electric motors in Poland, they needed a production solution to manufacture motor rotors and stators out of sheet metal. Swedish Momento needed greater capacity and wanted to prepare production for future products. The first step toward a successful future included bigger facilities and a new press cell with an AP&T press.

Automation equipment from AP&T – Upgrades presses at SKF
Wind power plants, trains, streetcars, paper mills, trucks … spherical roller bearings from SKF are used in many different applications around the world. In each bearing, the rollers are held in place by retainers produced in the SKF Retainer plant in Gothenburg. It is here that a steady stream of blanks is pressed into finished retainers. Approximately 20 hydraulic and mechanical presses are used for the job. Along with automation equipment from AP&T.

Heading into the future with AP&T – one step at a time: Graepel chooses ODEN presses
Subcontractor Graepel, nestled in the German town of Löningen, is outfitting itself for the future with an expanded production facility and two new ODEN presses from AP&T. Extensive production for customers that demand great flexibility and short lead times is only possible with equipment that offers high quality and availability.
