Material Loading

AP&T’s standard destacker, type Gantry. It provides faster operation compared to an industrial robot and gives a more compact layout.

The blank destacking station for incoming material uses a 4-axis gantry robot for destacking, double blank detection, marking and loading onto the furnace conveyor. Pallets with blanks are loaded into the magazines.

The system uses pin-pallets for the pre-positioning of blanks. After resetting the safety system, the TP robot starts to operate and place them on the furnace conveyor in sequence. The blanks can be turned and dropped on the roll conveyor in sequence to compensate any misalignments during furnace transportation. The destacking robot moves automatically between magazines when one magazine is empty. The operator can reload magazines during production.
