Process development

Getting from concept to stable production involves many interdependent decisions: forming method, tool design, material behavior, heating and cooling, press and automation setup, and how it all works together as a line. When these are developed in parallel rather than in sequence, the result is a more robust process, fewer iterations, and a faster path to full-volume production.

Our knowledge

A holistic approach to process development

We combine expertise in forming, simulation, and heat treatment to develop production processes where every element is considered in relation to the whole. By understanding how material behavior, process parameters, and line functionality interact, we make it possible to reach high precision and stable performance with reliable quality. That knowledge base covers the full forming spectrum, from conventional drawing and deep drawing to hydroforming, cutting, embossing, forging, bending, and folding, as well as thermal processes for press hardening and hot forming of high-strength aluminum.

Forming processes

We work across a broad range of forming technologies and select and optimize the right method for each application. Understanding how the material behaves during forming allows us to achieve precise geometry, minimize defects, and maintain consistent quality in both standard and complex high-performance components.

Forming simulations

We use advanced simulation tools to analyze material flow, forming behavior, automation, press function, and complete line interaction before production begins. This reduces risk, validates the process concept early, and helps us secure balanced cycle times, stable flow, and efficient system performance.

Heat treatment processes

We have deep expertise in press hardening and hot forming of high-strength aluminum, including control of heating, cooling, and material transformation. By managing critical parameters such as time, temperature, and atmosphere, we ensure consistent material properties and high strength in the final part. Our process control also supports compliance with governing industry regulations and standards.

Our offering

One responsible partner

Our process development offering brings forming, simulation, and heat treatment together into one integrated scope. By aligning all technologies and functions from the start, we help you reach high output and consistent quality in a production process that performs reliably at volume. The solutions are designed to scale with your production and perform over the full equipment lifecycle. The same approach applies when upgrading or optimizing existing lines.

Optimization and upgrades

We support continuous optimization and upgrades of existing production lines. By improving process efficiency, integrating new technologies, and enhancing system performance, we extend equipment lifetime and help maintain competitiveness. Modular design makes it possible to upgrade selectively, so the production system evolves with your needs rather than requiring full replacement.

Improved total cost of ownership

High uptime, energy-efficient equipment, and optimized processes all contribute to a lower total cost of ownership. Robust system design keeps maintenance needs and unplanned stops to a minimum, while integrated processes make the most of available capacity. Combined with lifecycle support and service, this means predictable costs and strong long-term return on your investment.
