AP&T is introducing a new service for customers who need to quickly deal with any unscheduled downtime, regardless of when and where in the world it may occur. Remote Access Case means that an emergency case containing equipment for remote connection is shipped by express freight to the customer, who then connects their machines to AP&T’s technical support for remote diagnosis and problem solving. 

Necessity is, as they say, the mother of invention. This has been particularly evident over the past year, when restrictions imposed as a result of the pandemic have often made it difficult for AP&T’s service technicians to visit customers on site. For customers who are yet to invest in a permanent solution for remote connection of their machines, AP&T is now offering a new temporary solution for remote technical support and problem solving. 

“Our new service Remote Access Case has been developed to help the customer deal with emergency situations in an expedient and efficient manner. If you are experiencing downtime, simply get in touch and we will ship the equipment immediately. The customer’s own technicians on site can then connect the machines remotely to our technical support department, which then identifies the fault and provides a solution or suggests how it can be corrected,” says Mats Kinnby, Head of Global Technical Support at AP&T. 

For customers who are looking for continuous access to AP&T’s technical support via remote connection, AP&T can offer an availability agreement, with permanently installed equipment for connection. 

“It is the best and most cost-effective way of ensuring long-term high machine uptime. In addition to solving any urgent problems, the agreement means that we regularly review the status of your machines remotely to prevent any downtime. Over the past year, more and more of our customers have come to realize the great peace of mind that an availability agreement provides,” says Mats Kinnby.
